ABOUT THE ARTIST
Matleena Lauha (born in 1997, Finland) is currently studying classical piano performance at the Estonian Academy of Music and Theatre from where she also holds a bachelor degree. Her piano teacher is Age Juurikas and chamber music teacher Marrit Gerretz-Traksmann.

Prior to Estonia, Matleena has studied in Espoo Music Insitute and her former teachers, mentors and masterclass teachers include names such as Maj-Britt Thesleff, Hui-Ying Liu-Tawaststjerna, Carlos Juris, Junio Kimanen, Ivari Ilja, Valeria Resjan, Irina Zahharenkova etc. Since 2017 Matleena has been studying free improvisation under the guidance of Jaak Sikk. Matleena enjoys performing weather as a solo pianist, chamber musician or improviser and her aim is always to bring something new in front of the audience.
